BMW Clever

The BMW Clever Concept is a two-seater, three-wheeled concept brought out by BMW in 2006. This vehicle combines the maneuverability of a motorcycle with a car’s safety. It is powered by a 230CC BMW engine which was modified by the Institut Français du Pétrole (IFP) to use natural gas. This engine produces 17hp and 15.5 Nm of torque at 6,300rpm. Its fuel consumption is estimated at 98mpg with 59.5 g/km of CO2 emissions. The compressed natural gas is stored in two removable gas bottles providing a range of 93 miles.
