BMW GINA Light Visionary

The BMW GINA Light Visionary was a 2-seater roadster concept presented by BMW in 2008. It served as a look to the future of mobility and was unique in that it was designed as part of the GINA principle (Geometry and Functions In "N" Adaptations). The most unique feature of this car is the moveable substructure covered by a flexible and durable fabric cover.

The traditional elements have been removed - front apron, bonnet, side panels, doors, wheel arches, roof, trunk lid and rear deck are all gone - and four metal panels were put in to set up the structure of the vehicle. One panel extends from the front of the vehicle to the edge of the windscreen and down the sides to the rear edge of the doors. The second and third panels make up the sides of the vehicle and the fourth panel is the central rear deck component.
